Just started on Chapter 5 after reading a bit of the Carevale book. Looks like the two books represent opposite ends of a spectrum with Dougherty having an academic bias and Carnevale having a vocational mind set. Had to go back to my old stats book to figure out some of the Dougherty data. Seems there is some careful reporting going on and that one must read between the lines, especially, in light of information from other sources regarding the sucess of 4 yr graduates. Interesting to me to note the activity of the AACC in the Carnavale book. It would be beneficial if the ACCC could develop to a similar level in Canada .
